Canada’s elite women golfers at Royal Oaks
Royal Oaks Estates and Golf Club will host the Royale Cup Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship July 27 – 31, 2009. Conducted by the Royal Canadian Golf Association and sponsored by Royale, the Royale Cup is the premier Women’s Championship for amateur golf in Canada. Open to top international amateurs, this championship offers top-notch tournament play and the opportunity to earn exemptions into the CN Canadian Women’s Open, Canada’s only LPGA Tour event.

A field of 156 amateur golfers will arrive in Moncton to play July 27 – 31. The field will include 4 player teams from each of Canada’s 10 provinces as well as individual Canadian and international players.

Team and individual practice rounds start on the morning of Monday July 27th. Opening ceremonies start at 6 pm on July 27th. Official play begins on July 28th and all rounds start in the early morning, weather permitting. The Provincial team title is decided following 36 holes of play. A final cut of 70 competitors plus ties will play the third and fourth rounds for the individual championship.
